I have lovingly maintained it and spent the last five years having the engine rebuilt by NAPA machine shop (had to put a big bore - 850 cc piston kit in because no OEM 750 piston wrings were available) and installed all new brakes, progressive shocks front and rear, headers and kerker filter chargers. i have OEM maintenance tools and need to sell. i'm 58 and can't handle the power due to a recent bout with cancer. the bike has only been ridden once since all the work.
any reasonable offer considered.
thanks,
patwf

vintage japanese iron

Has anyone successfully moved a bike through this forum?

I've got...

1973 Yamaha RD 250 blue. Non-runner. Bike is complete and worthy of restoration. Motor turns freely and feels good as far as compression is concerned. This one does have a bit of rust (solid tank though) along the underside of the fuel tank on one side) $700 obo.

1974 RD 350 purple. Non-runner all as above apart from rust on the tank. $750 obo

1975 RD 250 white. Non-runner as above. No rust on tank but someone appears to have dumped brake fluid on the right side of teh fuel tank as the paint is smeared up quite a bit. $700 obo

1975 RD 350 orange Nice looker & in running condition. I've not restored it, but cleaned it up a bit and found a few prettier pieces of chrome for it off eBay. Tank has a marble sized dent in it. $2400 obo

1977 RD 400 orange. Nice looker like the 350 above. Running condition. Like the one above it isn't restored but has had a good cleaning and numerous ugly bits replaced by better ones. I also installed a regulator rectifier on this one as the OEM stuff (separate regulator and rectifier) was toast and replacement parts are unobtainable. This one, unfortunately, did suffer a dent in the side of the tank from dropping it. I had just purchased them and transported them all the way home without any trouble only to knock it over while unloading. The dent isn't terrible and is more or less a scuff in the decal on one side of the tank. $2400 obo

The above bikes were purchased in a lot of 7 that included two that I'm keeping. I bought a fair few items off e-Bay to make them all complete and will sort through parts boxes to see to it that each bike is complete. I suspect that the biggest part of getting the three non-runners running is a good carb strip and clean. I hold titles to all of them (all titles are in my name and unblemished so you won't be struggling like I did to get them).

2005 Honda CRF250R. I've owned since new but have ridden very little. I bought this after getting a CRF450R and wanted a smaller bike to hoon about on just for the fun of it. I've preferred the 450 most days so this one has had little use. I replaced the plastic case guards as well as put a skid plate on it. Sidewinder sprockets and chain also fitted (has lots of life left in it). Radiator guards were installed soon after purchase. Works steering damper also installed. Some minor scuffs and some damage to body work that I plastic welded. You have to hunt to find it. Looks almost as good as the day I bought it. $2500 obo

I need to make room for another side car rig that I've got on the drawing board as well as just be able to move about in the shop without tripping over a motorcycle or parts of one.

I also have a few Honda SOHC CB750 bits laying about. Mostly engines that are long since dead and in need of stripping and parting out.

Any proceeds to be split equally between myself and my favorite charity aka Ride for Kids. More than likely I'll throw all of it at them.

Garage Sale

I have 2 IMC HS-H140 half helmet or no helmet headsets for sell all set up for Harley's. I'm the second owner, I bought this bike in 2007 for my trip to Alaska, the Yukon & Northwest Territories.

It had about 12,000 miles on it when I bought it and now it has 35,113. The bike comes with the following farkles:

-Hagon rear shock w/remote adjuster
-Ricor Intiminators on front forks (stock springs)
-Suzuki Gel Seat
-Cee Bailey's Windscreen
-Fork Brace
-Givi engine guard bars
-Givi top case & side rack mounts (cases not included)
-Suzuki Tank Protector
-Center Stand
-SW Motech skid plate
-Suzuki Hand Guards
-Ram Mount on Handlebars
-Kaoko Throttle Lock
-Ventura Headlight Guard
-Home made radiator & oil cooler guard
-Braided stainless front brake lines
-Symtec Heated Handgrips (with Heat-Troller)
-Home made highway pegs
-Fiamm Air Horn
-Flush-Mount Front Turn Signals
-Dirt pegs
-Battery Tender connector and Gerbing's Co-Ax connector

Right now it's got Metzler Tourances mounted on it - I'd say they've got 80% tread left. I'll also toss in a set of TKC knobbies with less than 1K miles use from mine and my GF's aborted Labrador/Newfoundland trip of last year. The Hagon rear shock and Ricor Intiminators were added just before the Translab trip as well. The Cee Bailey's windscreen came courtesy of the original owner and it's great at keeping the wind off - I can ride it without earplugs. The original stock windshield is also included. Valves were adjusted and throttle bodies synced at 26640 miles; fork seals were just replaced at 35K, both services were done by Ellicott City Motorsports. Other than that I've done all the routine maintenance services myself.

As for looks, it has some wear befitting a bike that's been ridden 35K miles including off-road and to Alaska, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. It's been dropped three times - two were 0-mile drops, once in my driveway and once on a bumpy dirt/rock hill in WV. These resulted in minor cosmetic damage - the black headlight cowl's got a 3" rash and the plastic fuel tank cover's got a scratch. I bought a replacement headlight cowl but have been too lazy to put it on. The replacement headlight cowl is included in the deal. The third drop was a 15-20mph lowside on soft sand on the TransLab in 2009, to avoid running over girlfriend who went down in front of me on her Tiger. That lowside bunged up my left aluminum pannier and bent the Givi side rack. After getting home I was able to straighten the side rack out. The brace between the two side racks that runs behind the rear fender had broken-off screws in it and I left it off. A replacement brace can be gotten from Givi (perhaps for free, according to the rep I spoke with at the NYC show last month). I've since then mounted my Givi hard cases on the side racks and ridden fine without the brace. That lowside also cracked the left plastic handguard - I've bought new replacement handguards but again have been too lazy so far to put them on. The new replacement handguards are included in the deal. You can see in the photos that the exhaust guard is off - there were clearance issues with the aluminum pannier mounts. The guard comes with the bike.

Price for all of the above: $4000. PM me if interested.

insta Trike Kit

Hello,
I am looking for a used insta trike Kit for my bike. This motorcycle changed my thinking about these larger, "touring" scooters. The power is surprising for a 400cc single and will easily do 70+ mph all day on the freeway. Handling is precise and stable, not "darty" or nervous like most think how scooters handle. Braking power/performance is very good & easy to modulate with dual front discs. My physical disability is getting worse and I can no longer ride safely. I thought the Burgman would be a good choice for my physical situation after I sold my Ural, and it was for about a year until I experienced further degeneration with my joints. Located near Chehalis, Wa. 360-978-5290. My e-mail is customaudiodesign@tds.net. I have a degenerative joint/muscle disease that has become worse since I bought the bike in August '08, and my shoulder joints & strength level isn't up to piloting the hack safely or for any more than 30-40 miles at a time. I bought the bike as new from Jim at Raceway Services in Salem, Oregon. Excellent condition, no problems, runs terrific. Only 285 kilometers, comes with extras like oil additive, extra oil filter, nice tool kit w/tire pump, spare wheel & tire, carb jets, tonneau cover for hack and hand-operated reverse lever on right side of tank. Asking $7200 or offer. New Tourist models are $11,500. I'm located near Chehalis, Wa. I hope it's OK for a noob to post a couple pics...if anyone needs more info or photos, send me an e-mail: customaudiodesign@tds.net

I'm looking forward to being a part of the forum. The back of the jacket has big letters saying Buell with the Pegasus trademark displayed. I have barely used this outfit and need to reduce stuff. It will fit a 42/44 chest and the waist is about 36/38. Its a cool outfit.
$125
You do not need to ride a Buell to own this.

2- 3/4 Length Hein Gericke, Paris Dakar Jacket, Black Leather. This jacket has artwork by Alex airbrushed on the back. The picture is of a blonde woman dressed in armor with a sword poised over her head and a BMW tattoo on her left gluteus. Lightning bolts are striking around her like in a Heavy Metal album cover. This was Alex's concept of a Valkrie and it is beautiful and a one off. The jacket fits chest size 42 and is in decent shape. It also has a liner.
$125

OzarkHarleyGuy's Cycle Closet...

Ok I gotta post something here since Torque went to the trouble to do this. Since I'm time limited this morning I'll just throw out a few things I came across that I mentioned on the other thread:

--Modular Zeus helmet in 2x. Never wore in silver, black and red graphics.

--GoldWing Millenium jackets in men's 3x and women's lrge, red and black. These are lined and in perfect shape, wore just a couple times. These are oversize and perfect for multiple layers wore underneath.

--Hein Gericke Summit jacket in red and black 3x.

--Belstaff over pants. Big size will fit a big tushy with jean and boots already on. Side zip with velcro.

Well that will get us going. All those items are in perfect condition. I know I didn't post a pic or price. If you are interested drop me a line at: bkbrfo@yahoo.com and I can send you a pic. I'm not real good at posting pics here. I'm more interested in this stuff going to one of you guys than making a profit so make me an offer.

Read First Before Posting

Rules of the Garage Sale forum.

1.
