Sertainly, this will
make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in
favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one
less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year
when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words
like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to
reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have
always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is
disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th"
with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining
"ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu
understand ech oza. It worked.

Now as I sit here, it comes to mind, so how did you discover that if I held my breath, jumped up and down on my left foot while humming the national anthem would make spell check work?

RE: PM alert didnt work for me

The spell checker has been broken for some time. When you are ready to spell check click preview then when the screen repaints click the spell check right away and it will work. So far I have been unable to fix this and have requested the web guys look at it.

RE: PM alert didnt work for me

Ahhhhhh, yes. Now I think I've got it.

When I sign on, next to "Recent Messages", it shows "0/2". I've deleted everything, twice, I think, but the "0/2" is still there.

I have no problem sending or recieving anything (as far as I know) but I've just learned to ignore the "0/2". Just like a new noise in the car....just turn up the volume on the radio: no more new noise!

RE: PM alert didnt work for me

jerseyjim (11/12/2006)
Whattayouguys talking about?
 ....

the "private message" notification on this forum is not the "stone axe between the eyes" that my befuddled mind needs.

what i get is a change in the fraction that appears right before "Messages" on the "welcome" line.

the numerator indicates how many unread(?) messages i have waiting. the denominator indicates how many messages i have altogether (up to 50).

nothing changes color. so, if i dont remember what i have done in the que, i cant tell if i have a new message, or forgot to ackowledge that i have read all the messages.

as of this moment, i checked for new messages and found a new one (nearly missed it). i read it and went on to read new posts in the forum. but, i must have forgot to do something in the PM because the fraction should have indicted 0 (zero) in the numerator telling me that i have read all my PM.

if all y'all 'puter savvy people think this is funny, you should see me trying to deal with my GPS.

RE: PM alert didnt work for me

Can not help on this one, but I do have a question about the spell check feature.
Lsat tmie I tired to use it it siad soemthnig about an expired cookie.
